Re: HoolyHoo's AIO bracket for Kite's SAIO Board
****INTERNATIONAL ORDERS (NON US) ONLY****
Hey all,
Just a quick update, as @hoolyhoo has said, I am doing is orders for anything that isn't in the US, over the last week I have been moving house and getting set up in the new place, so it meant orders had been a bit longer then I would have liked.
I have now moved in and I managed to get roughly 80% of the orders out with brackets I have already printed before the move, these went out a couple of days ago. The 20% that haven't gone or any new orders I am just setting up my printers again ready to print (I am hoping they should be up and callibrated by tomorrow afternoon.)
Once printed I will get them sent out to you all, sorry for the delay and I hope it hasn't caused any issues.
Looking forward to seeing all the new builds you guys are going to be posting on the forums.
Regards

@HoolyHoo
What type of 3D modeling software do you use? I'm just interested in learning how to 3D model for 3D printing.
The only CAD knowledge I have is 2D design in autocad mechanical.

I use fusion 360. It's free for tinkerers and relatively easy to learn.tyler335 wrote:@HoolyHoo

Depends on your printer settings. On mine it takes a little over an hour but I get a very clean print.Valadone wrote:Hello there,

Re: HoolyHoo's AIO bracket for Kite's SAIO Board
It's a sub $200 i3 clone that I've modded with auto bed leveling and other enhancements and tweaks to get it working at a very respectable level. It didn't come without a learning curve but I couldn't ask for more to what I paid for it.tyler335 wrote: ↑Thu Mar 30, 2017 8:10 am@HoolyHooHoolyHoo wrote:Depends on your printer settings. Do you have any more specific information on your printer? I was very impressed with the quality of the print, and I am considering getting an inexpensive printer myself.
Re: HoolyHoo's AIO bracket for Kite's SAIO Board
The name brand is Malyan M150. I bought it through hobbyking.com. Price now is around $300 but they run specials all the time. Keep an eye on it. They had it on Black Friday for $159. Crazy. It has an all metal frame which is nice and sturdy unlike lots of other i3 clones which are made from acrylic. Also comes basically assembled, not a kit, which is nice. Like I said, I made lots of tweaks to get it working at that level. If you want something that doesn't need tinkering, then get a real Prusa i3 but be prepared to pay 4 times as much. If you like learning the ins and outs of 3D printers then this printer is a great value with just a little tweaking. The good thing is parts are readily available if anything goes wrong.Box wrote: ↑Sun Apr 02, 2017 3:49 amDo you have any more specific information on your printer?
