For those who want an alternative temporary solution:
https://hobbyking.com/en_us/turnigy-200 ... st-ph.html

It fits in the battery bay. I'm using it as a alternative until the next preorder!

(The attached cable is long enough to fit in kite's saio)

Thank you for the update. I know I missed the preorder but looked forward to when the new order link is available and I am able to get my hands on one. This is the last piece to my build!

Thanks again.

To anyone who will be using this with Kite's board with dextech's battery.

I believed I finished modding my case for Kite's SAIO board without messing with the battery compartment since I wanted to use dextech's battery. I did noticed that without cutting out the most of the battery compartment as indicated in Kite's PDF the Joystick connector and the I2C connector on the SAIO do not allow the case to close correctly. Has anyone else run into this problem? If so did you have to reduce the the back of the battery compartment to get it to fit or did you have to cut out pieces of the battery compartment to get it to fit? I feel that if pieces that have to bet cut out to get the connectors to fit the battery will not fit...

I closed mine with no problem leaving the battery compartment intact. I only needed to trim the compartment flush underneath.

I agree with HoolyHoo, the only thing I cut out in the 3 I made with kites board is the original headphone Jack bracket off the back of the battery compartment. I left the rest completely intact.

I can get it to close, is probably because I have a clear case that I noticed it but when closing the case it bends the board because of those connectors. I'll trim down where the case touches those connectors to see if it helps.

I guess trimming helped, board no longer bends

Nice.

Any chance you could upload some pics to illustrate what parts you're talking about?

I'm not having any trouble closing my case with the SAIO board and joystick. The joystick connector isn't in the way. Here is a few pictures of it.

(Side note: I hate glue showing! I'm going to try to glue the joystick to the back of the SAIO board when I receive the battery)
