Hi, I have a screen to contribute! I brought this direct off china's taobao. for about US $8. I've been searching the forums but i can't find any information on how to convert this to 5V. Can someone help me? thanks.

I have gone through 4 of these screens. 2 I got working by using a composite cable with the video signal line fully surrounded with the ground wire. Without this I could not get them to work. There was a fairly recent post with this same board. I don't think this will fit in a dmg without cutting off the adjustment buttons. I am not sure if this has been converted to 5v. I would start by poking around with a volt meter and seeing where there is 5v. I would start close to where the 12v source comes in and work out.

I tried all the possible combinations:
To remove the integrated circuit XL1509
To connect 5V at the integrated circuit pin, with and without the integrated circuit
to connect also the gnd at the circuit pin
