USB on AIO suddenly stopped working?
USB on AIO suddenly stopped working?
Hi!
Strange thing just happened to me...
Finished my GBZ build, everything worked fine. AIO v2.2 usb connected to pi zero data pads and external keyboard working fine. Then I connected external lan adapter to micro USB on the pi and keyboard stopped responding. Unplugged everything, restarted few times and nothing. Pads and buttons on aio board work, so connection between aio board and pi board is ok.
Keyboard works on another pi, wires are firmly soldered.
Any ideas?
Is it possible to mess anything in config files just by plugging lan adapter in? Like auto deactivating usb test pads by plugging in something in stock micro usb port?
I DID NOT TRY clean new retropie image yet though...
Does it happen to anyone?

Re: USB on AIO suddenly stopped working?
I don't know why people are plugging in another usb device into the pi when the AIO usb hub is soldered onto that port. You need to use the AIO usb hub connections if you want to use a usb device and NOT plug any other usb device into the Pi itself.

Re: USB on AIO suddenly stopped working?
I did not know that.
The reason I did that is because I have usb ports soldered to aio and my lan adapter has micro plug.
Did I broke something or is it reversible?

Re: USB on AIO suddenly stopped working?
Probably didn't break anything. Did you try a new fresh image?
Re: USB on AIO suddenly stopped working?
ok, fresh image works fine...
Still... very strange thing..

Re: USB on AIO suddenly stopped working?
Yes it may have confused or corrupted some config files as you were crossing the data signals.
