Ok read the first post and see the video that wermy is making. Dont get me wrong but it makes sense.
What you need to have is a powerboost, lipo, USB sound card, 20mm diameter 0.5W 8Ohm speaker, tin case and a Raspberry Pi Zero W. what i am getting out of the video.

And the rest what is in the kit is. 3d parts the boards and lcd. Or am i wrong #Helder.
I watched it, but it just maybe was unclear to me. I knew we;d need a tin, was pretty sure we'd have to order a Pi0W, and a battery. Unsure on the other stuff though. Thank you

Will have to watch for what they point out as what else we'd need, and what to look for exactly to make sure it's compatable.
Read the first post in this thread - it's all fairly clear with links. There are a few minor parts (buttons) not listed but I'm assuming that'll be cleared up once the full guide is available.

You need a battery, a Lipo charger like the power boost 500C or the standard cheap 500mAh charger, Mint Tin, Raspberry Pi Zero (W or non W), tactile buttons (Wermy will specify the dimensions soon). Also need a USB Sound card and speaker and NDS Lite buttons and membranes, a small power switch (Wermy will specify dimensions once again), his 3D parts and my boards with screen.

Wermy has mentioned he will be offering buttons and membranes so you can get some from him when ordering the 3D parts. I'm sure he'll pop in and confirm things soon.

Don't contact me about obtaining my board files (as you will not get them). If my Boards or PCB Kits are sold out, they will be restocked as soon as I can get them and there is demand for them. You can join the mailing list on my Website to be notified when they are available.

Updated the parts list.

I'm also going to see if I can get some tact switches of the proper sizes so people don't have to go hunting for the correct ones (you need 2 sizes).

I know this is getting way into the weeds, but what kind of screws are you using for the case (if you are providing them with the parts then no worries but sometimes its tricky to get small screws like that locally).

Thanks!!

They'll come with it, but if you're curious they are M2x3mm and M2x7mm. :)

Well I've placed my Adafruit order. Hopefully I get my next paycheck before you guys have your packages ready, so take your time

::edit::Literally package gets posted for purcahse while I was writing this  ::edit::

I went with the $7 charger instead of the power boost for the extra battery life, though the power boost did have some interesting features that might make me want to switch later down the line (low battery detection). Are there any legit reasons to get the more expensive powerboost and sacrifice the little extra battery life? I got the power switch recommended in the thread as well, but no tactiles. I've also ordered the usb sound card and speaker from ebay, but they'll be a longer time coming. I saw this one too fior a few bucks more, but was afraid to get it instead since it wasn't specifically recommended. It looks like the same one just a little bit smaller which might make for a more efficient use of space.

BTW, right now if anyone else is going to get adafruit parts, the coupon code MHOR saves you 99 cents (every little bit helps)

Oh, and just to be that guy... I know that no thumbstick will happen, but what about something like this chip for analog movement? Huh huh? Elbow elbow nudge nudge. ;)

Cool thanks for looking into this, I'm new to this and have found so many variations online (eg. 4-pin and 5-pin, slight height/base differences) Slightly overwhelming for beginners ;)
