Here's the DMG

It's missing the battery cover, gonna get it off ebay

This screw was problematic, had to cut off the case a little

The screw post was fine, will probably use a washer in there

Insides had a lot of battery leak, im surprized this thing actually worked, I won't be using any of the internals for this project as I want to refurbish the unit if i can get the spare parts from a donor broken one

More corrosion, I used a dremel on this one, none of the internals were damaged

Here's the shell in all it's filth, it's going to get washed tomorrow

I bought this DMG for $50 pesos, which is equivalent to around $3USD, It's a little beat up but I got it with the tought that I might mess up a bit in the process, I'm gonna try to cleanup the internals and see if i can replace the contrast wheel, power jack and power switch and put it all on a brand new shell.
Next up I will be cleaning up this one shell and start cutting, I'm gonna use a USB SNES controller and place the L and R buttons from it on the back like in Chiz's GBZ since it looks pretty good, I was planning on getting 2 Z triggers from old n64 controllers but the snes shoulders work pretty good.
Still have a bunch of things to gather up and a while to go before I finish this but it's the first time I take on something like this and it's pretty fun, I find myself planning what I'm gonna do in my head every now and then.
