Pinnacle Studio 16. It's pretty cheap for its features.tanooki wrote:What software did you use to make your video? I have my own idea for a boot up video that I would like to try out. Thanks.

Can you post your folder structure and where you've put your video?Robots86 wrote:Does anyone have a fix for video not loading at boot up?
Or better, the whole process you went through when you tried to activate splash screen video.

video is saved here. its in its own folder in the splashscreens folder. i have checked that the custom splashscreen is enabled. It loads some times but most of the time the screen just flashes black and the video wont play.... Not sure if its a memory issue or something?

Did you change anything before this reboot?
I have the feeling it only happens if you changed anything and then did a reboot.

Re: Splashscreen Intro Video
last post in the second link.....
This is exactly what fixed it for me:
sudo nano /etc/init.d/asplashscreen
and add
sleep 1
in between
rm -f /tmp/writable
and omxplayer -b --layer 10000 "$line"
10 restarts and still playing
going to give this a try when i get home

Re: Splashscreen Intro Video
So i noticed the file you provided has two frames of the title screen for a mario game at the end (i forgot which game). I took the liberty of removing those two frames so it's nice and clean.Kilren wrote:Ha. No problem. I did this a couple of weeks ago for the same reason. I'll share with you and whoever needs it the how.
Find your boot screen clip on youtube. I searched "Gameboy DMG bootup video" in google. Watch and make sure that it is what you need.
Use one of any number of youtube video converters for download. I personally use clipconverter.cc (here is the plug of "don't take anything that is copyrighted, pirated, doesn't rightfully belong to you, etc."). Go through the simple directions given there. They have options for a couple of different video formats, as well as a few audio only formats.
Repeat for any other console boot screen your heart desires.
