GBZ cartridge reader

Hi

I am doing a GBZ build with a gameboy empty shell and am wondering what are the possible solutions for the cartridge reader? I am thinking of buying the premade cartridge with sd slot in the 'buying selling section' but as I am using a shell I don't have an existing reader. Are these sold anywhere?

Buy a Super Gameboy. They are really cheap and available at ebay.

Someone posted this link a while back, but it looks like it has since sold out.

There are also some GBA motherboards on ebay for about $7.

That's all I've been able to find so far though.

I just ordered a couple of these:

I haven't got them yet, but someone on Reddit recommended them. (I had to order them from Australia, because for some reason suppliers in the US can't ship them to Ireland...... )
Further investigation shows that i'll probably have to mod them a bit to get them to fit the GameBoy cartridge, but nowt much.

I'll update more when i get them.

You only have to remove a little nudge that prevented gbc carts from being inserted on the ds
