Re: Additional part sourcing thread
Oops, I misread your post, sorry. I was interested in 1 or 2 speakers, but I could help selling off to fellow Canadians. However, I'm going in vacation next weekend for about 10 days so I can't help right away.
When I get back I can definitely help out with the reselling if no one else pitches in.

Re: Additional part sourcing thread
I'm not sure how long ago this happened, or how long it will last, but the Adafruit Micro Lipo battery charger listed in the wiki parts list (https://www.adafruit.com/product/1904) is out of stock. Adafruit also sells what appears (to me) to be a smaller version of this same component (https://www.adafruit.com/product/1304), does anyone know if this will work instead? I can't see any difference that would make it unusable, but I'm quite new to this whole thing and could have easily overlooked something. Thanks!

Re: Additional part sourcing thread
The problem with the one you linked to is that it doesn't have a micro usb charging port - it has, essentially, a stripped down male USB type A plug, meaning it's meant to stick directly into a USB port. I don't think it would be ideal for a project like this unfortunately.Athakaspen wrote: ↑Thu Jul 27, 2017 6:25 pmI'm not sure how long ago this happened, or how long it will last, but the Adafruit Micro Lipo battery charger listed in the wiki parts list (https://www.adafruit.com/product/1904) is out of stock. Alright, thanks for the heads up. I guess I'll just watch for a restock and keep my eyes out for a good alternativewermy wrote: ↑Thu Jul 27, 2017 6:28 pmThe problem with the one you linked to is that it doesn't have a micro usb charging port - it has, essentially, a stripped down male USB type A plug, meaning it's meant to stick directly into a USB port. Re: Additional part sourcing thread
There's a new version with protection which I've bought:These are what I use, the only thing to watch out for is the charge amperage is a little higher than recommended for the 1200mAh battery but changing a resistor will change it to the proper amperage.

I found a site some time ago stating which one to change and to what value, once I find it again I will post it here.
Edit: Here it is:

Add description also details the resistor change to reduce charge amperage.

Re: Additional part sourcing thread
I eventually found the exact Adafruit micro lipo on ebay, but it seems that it's not available anymore. However, the package arrived today and it seems to be in great condition! This also saved me $9 US in shipping costs.

They are out of stock on adafruit but it hasn't been discontinued yet... They just make them in batches I guess.

Where to Get Tactile Switches
I know this is gonna sound stupid,
but i can't find anyone online that sells the right size of tactile switches for the L/R buttons. if it is the right size, then it only has 2 prongs. where did other people get theirs?

Who is online
