I am anxious to see your solution.
I wonder if I wil be able to pack everything inside I want. I even thought about getting some sort of thickness extension 3d printed.
Just some kind of a frame that goes between those 2 Case parts a few mm thick. We will see.

At most, you have 75mm of space lengthwise before you hit the bottom end of the cartridge slot so I think that battery won't fit.

Here's the one I bought.

It's actually 70 x 72 x 15mm. I'm going to remove one of screw wells leftover from the battery cage and reattach it using the same metal technique around the screen. It should fit perfectly in that space.

Did you manage to fit the battery? Do you have a picture of the battery mounted? Thanks!

what about the reliability of those chinese batteries ?

Would be bad if your GBZ burnt during a play

Not a bad one. What you gain lengthwise, I gain thickness wise. For me the cartridge slot is not a problem since I don't have it (it's cut completely inside (also the inner battery compartment). I just have the shell basically :)

Yep. Just got it today but was busy with the PCB mailouts. I'll test it out this week along with the graceful shutdown and also post pics with a progress report. Can't wait to dig into this!

Guys, FYI, not a 10000mah battery but I made my own 3200mah from li-ion cells and did not mod the battery bay at all. Might not be enough for some of you but I like not having to mod the battery bay.

I've found this : (click on the picture)
li-ion 1S2P 3.7V 5200mah - Ansmann 2447-3033 (18 x 37 x 69mm)

It seems good, do you think it can fit the DMG case ?
Could this be recharged by the PowerBoost 1000 ?

There is also the small version 2600mah (19 x 69mm)...

...and the big one 7800mah (19 x 56 x 68mm)

@SidSilver

you only have 65-66mm space uprigh if you want to keep the card-reader.
But you could maybe out it in sideways. But I don't know if all other components would still fit.
I don't even know how to solder ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Hi!
It's almost the same question as Sidsilver but I found this on exp: http://www.exp-tech.de/lipo-akku-4400mah
They don't give the dimensions but I think it's the same. If it's just a few millimeter problem, I think it can be fixed but my question is about other likely problems? (the 2-pin connector look like the same as the one used by wermy)
