Housing: eBay or broken original DMG-01?

Hi,

I'm just curious to know, is it better to use an original broken GameBoy DMG-01 (and maybe re-use some parts from it, power button, volume wheel, cart reader, etc.) or go with a generic eBay GameBoy housing? What is the build quality like on the eBay housings, is it close to original quality? What about button feel, etc.?

I suggest just buying everything new. There are plenty of products out there now, both at online retailers like eBay, as well individuals here at sudomod who make custom parts. I would say it is much easier, and better looking, to source all new parts this way as parts from an original dmg can tend to be degraded by now

Both were great.
The one on Aliexpress had the two tiny cheap screwdrivers.
