Hello.

I was wondering if you will be making a modified version of this kit when Helder releases the updated screen/power set. Maybe putting a hole for the new tactile switch on the bottom right corner of the faceplate?

(I should be purchasing the parts within the week, then I must wait for Helder's next batch and/or upgraded kit...)

Hey Wermy, can I place a custom order of 3D printed parts? Please let me know how you'd like to discuss.

Wermy,

Thanks for this! I purchased all 3! (The 3D printed main kit, the hole drilling helper, and the DS Lite buttons!)

Can't wait for these! Super excited to get started on my 1st build!

I haven't seen mention of this anywhere- Where can we find the updated STL files for the updated parts that don't require desoldering the crystal on the sound card?

I'm confident that wermy will release the files, eventually. My bet would be around when Helder's next pre order opens. This will allow him to tweak the design.

In more or less the same breath he was talking about them on the video, he also said he'd make them available when helder has the new PCB kits available.

Boy oh boy it's not only getting harder to do some reading but also listening to what is being said in the videos too.

oh yeah i saw that video too, didn't mention the stl files at all. It seemed more like he was talking about selling the parts.

I even did a ctrl+F through the comments and looked through the other threads before I came to ask about the STL files so I just thought I'd ask.

There's like a million people per day commenting and asking when stuff will be for sale without doing any research. Can't the forums be used to ask unanswered questions?

I did the reading, I saw the videos. "STL" and "Files" weren't mentioned once. Posts weren't updated. Nobody had asked. Thought I could ask.

It has been asked actually in the mintyPi General Talk subforum, and until Wermy says anything about it assume it's not being released anytime soon.

In that exact timestamp you posted, he said "make the parts available" does it take such a leap that the 3D printed parts he was talking about, if he did mean for sale, the stl files would similarly not be available?
Apparently so.
