I cleaned it up as best as I could and it did not improve my testing :) Screen still will not turn on.

very strange. i had a similar problem with the ada fruit screen. i mean, i had power, but it wouldnt give me the right picture. i had to reverse wires..put them into the av2 section, to get av1 signal. so odd. on top of that, i didnt notice i had a different board revision, so i had to un-solder everything, and start over lol. im new at this.

Do you own a multimeter to check for continuity?

Yeah, I tested the wire where it connects to the board and it is a solid 5v. I tested the jumper wire connected to pin2 and it is 5v as well.

No, i mean, measure the solder pads where you soldered on the wires, if they are somehow connected.
Without power, of course. Do you know what i mean?
Check if you somehow accidently soldered one to the other. Because this is the same board that i got and mine worked fine witht his mod.

I will post a wiring diagram that i used in a few minutes, maybe you can try this.

No problem, let me know if this is correct. I test three points. The two in the middle beep. The other ones just show a positive number. I also test voltage as well. I flipped the image around to match the orientation of the guide.

Yo you got a "beep" from 2 to 3 on the continuity check? This might be the problem. Try to desolder those 2 points completely (with soldering wick), so no solder is left and reattach the wire again, if they are no longer connected with solder.

This image is after taking off the wire and cleaning up a little. I still get beeps though.

On this image, I tested the ground in the upper left while holding the red cable on the multimeter and I get a signal in the 1440 range.

any luck figuring it out? looks like theres a glob of solder in some points that may be bridging a connection. i followed a trace with the red line and circled the glob. also circled what looks like 2 points might need to be a little cleaner. if you have a wick, use that and clear it out best you can
