Crystal Clear GBZ KITE AIO
Its been a long time in the making but i have finally finished the build
Big thank to @kite for doing the awesome super aio
I wanted to make as clear a case as possible to show off the internals of the board and the workings. not a easy task
It uses:
first realease super AIO with a pi zero
Hoolyhoos braket clear case in crystal resin
8bitjay rear buttons bracket clear cast in crystal resin
Clear cast game cartridge
Clear cart sticker and serial number
Dex big battery wrapped in black
Veco speaker
one of my black glass screen lens
Where things had to be glued i used clear epoxy to get this as neat as possible, its not perfect but i plan to build another at some point
during the process ive learn many things mainly not to rush. but also making molds from silcone and casting is resins it's been great fun
I hope you like the pictures.. check me out on instagram as well jellybelly customs

Re: Crystal Clear GBZ KITE AIO
Yeah, it really looks amazing!
Is it original gameboy case? I mean, all aftermarket clear cases have blue letters instead of red.
I have one original case with red letters, and also going to build GBZ with new kite's board, and this is perfect example!

Really nice build..
I will not attemt a clear case build myself.. as Kite said, they are more difficult to get good looking.
but this one is NICE... Keep Up The Good Work..

Re: Crystal Clear GBZ KITE AIO
i do try to avoid hot glue. One part of this build im not happy with it the mode button has to be hot glued in. But your new boards seem to come with a little pcb with the mode button on?kite wrote: ↑Tue Dec 12, 2017 4:42 amIncredibly impressed with the build, love your Instagram stuffI tried a clear case once, I actually took it apart because it looked so bad, but wow your's looks amazing! The clear epoxy thing must help, my hot glue came out kinda yellow and looked so bad so I'd 100% recommend epoxy anyway as over time the hot glue pulls away!
Nice job![]()
Thanks for the kind comments tho

Re: Crystal Clear GBZ KITE AIO
Love it. Very nice. All the clear cast parts inside are a great idea.

Re: Crystal Clear GBZ KITE AIO
Beautiful work, jellybelly. If you don't mind me asking, what brand epoxy did you use?

Re: Crystal Clear GBZ KITE AIO
@jellybelly, I have one more question
Did you clean the case by somehow? Mine looks yellowish even without all internal parts, because it's obviously old. I've seen some guides how to get an original grey gameboy out of yellow sludge, but not sure this will work with clear one without any damage.
