Does anyone know where I can download or buy a bracket for the L1/l2 button board that came with Kite's circuit sword?
I cannot find one that fits it.
Wermy is working on designing one. I'm sure he'll let everyone know when he has a finished product :D

Wermy was working on one but I don’t think he’s shown it yet.

@hoolyHoo, When will your bracket and PCB be available to purchase? I am hoping to get my gameboy done as soon as I can. But I really want to have back buttons.

Hopefully soon as I have finalized the PCB with a button layout that I think people will be happy with. It is going to be very versatile. Just waiting on the boards to come back. Chinese New Year now so that’s whats holding it up.

You cannot find it because it does not exist lol. This is a unique design so nothing already existing would fit.
Wermy seems to be working on a design but nothing announced yet

I used with success vhb tape :D
I took your advice YaYa and ordered some 3M VHB for my HoolyHoo PSP bracket installation. I tried some standard 3M 2-sided tape that was black in color and is used for attaching cell phone screens. It did not hold very well. I HATE hot glue and if this works, I owe you a big Thank you!

i actually once screwed so much the screws without noticing it that i've bended the shell but the bracket didn't came off lol    so believe me, it's very strong... only side part, you'll need to put the tape you first bought around the screen to glue it to the face shell as putting vhb between the bracket and the face sheel will raise the bracket as much as thick is the VHB (for me, it was 1mm) so the screen can become loose inside the bracket and roll from left to right or from up to down lol...
So put thin cellphone screen tape all around the screen, stick it to the front shell then put vhb on the bracket and stick it down.
I used 8 spots, corners just beside the screw posts (where the max tension will be put when screwing down) then on the middle up/down/left/right :D

Just make sure to use my drill guides to make the holes only after the bracket has been seated properly inside the shell. This way the guides will be in the final position to where the bracket will rest and assure proper alignment of X and Y holes to the bracket.
Question: if we are going to go with the CNC'ed case, how can we ensure alignment if we should only drill after seating the bracket?

Unfortunately, you can't. If you go with Kubino's pre cut case, there is a good chance that the X and Y holes will be slightly out of alignment because I believe he used Kite's drill marks as his template which is slightly out of square.

I had no issue at all with kubinos CNC cases... i can see a 1/10mm displacement but nothing that obstructs buttons movements... worst case, you can still shave a little bit left of right or top of the bracket to take half a millimeter to allow better placement...

As for me, the last HoolyHoo’s bracket prints were not sitting flat on the face shell, i have dremeled to chamfer up/left/right on the face angles so it can lay down (the case’s inner corners are slightly rounded that’s why)

In a short word, nothing complicated that you can’t correct

Edit : printed by me not by HoolyHoo lol
