Will you provide instructions on how to wire and set it up properly?

My board has the PWM Audio board integrated into it already you just wire the PWM Audio pins from the Pi Zero to the 2 pads on the board then wire the pot pads to the Volume wheel points which I have shown a picture of a few posts back. The audio output goes to the headphone jack and from the jack to the speaker or if you don't want headphones goes directly to the speaker.

I'll have a wiring diagram after I get them in.

Oh if you have USB audio and don't want to use PWM Audio simply solder the USB Audio Left and Right to the Volume Wheel Points 1 and 2 then wire everything else Like I said above.

dboSS wrote: What is the price of your board (inc shipping)?
For a blank pcb that works like the original one without the audio stuff it's $7 like the original pricing in the first post and same for shipping.

For a PCB with the audio components the price will be $14 a board and same shipping price as blank board, extra cost if for my time in soldering parts plus cost of parts.

I'm a newbie in electric so please forgive my noob questions.
So what you mean is your board = button board + teensy + enable sound with wheel control and headphone and speaker. All I need is the amplifier and it doesn't need USB sound or custom PWM ?

And all that is for $14?

I'm interested in giving this a shot. How much for 1 or 2 shipped to US? The one that comes with audio amp and all the extras fully assembled.

The board has the button solder holes you connect to the teensy, so that is not included. What is included is the PWM Audio low pass filter along with an Audio Amplifier and you can connect this to the volume wheel or if you don't want to you can skip that. The board also has the hole template so you can drill perfect holes on the case.

So in a nutshell You configure the Pi Zero to output PWM audio like in the guides then Solder the PWM Audio GPIO pins to the PWM0 and PWM1 on my board, then the numbered pads labeled Pot1-Pot4 you connect to the Wheel Points like in the image in last page. Finally you solder the points in the Audio Output to the headphone and speaker, Done!

Shipping for up to 5 boards is the price of 1 board so you want 2 boards shipping will be $3 plus the cost of each board obviously so for you it's $28 plus $3 shipping = $31.

I don't have these yet so you will have to wait till the end of this upcoming week to buy them when I have them on hand.

Would it work without a teensy? I was just going to wire my switches straight to the GPIO to avoid having to buy a controller board altogether, but this looks like it will save me some time not having to worry about positioning the switches and making sure they interface nicely with the buttons. Being able to skip an amp is nice, but if I only get to drop the amp by using this ($3 saved) and still had to buy a teensy it wouldn't be worth it.

I'm pretty sure you can wire the buttons up to the GPIO pins but you will lose alot of them in the process and like I said there will be a $7 dollar bare PCB with no audio stuff but will work with a teensy or GPIO or whatever method you plan to use for controls.

There is the $14 dollar version with the audio stuff for those who want to use less things in the build plus save space and wires, both methods the controller part functions the same.

So am I correct by saying that in order to use this new board with audio you need to use the original GameBoy motherboard?

This is for just about every configuration out there, if you have the GB motherboard you can use the Volume wheel if not just use a jumper wire from Pot1 to Pot3 and Pot2 to Pot4 pads and done but you can't control volume as that is the purpose of the Volume wheel.

Have USB Audio? If using the wheel then solder the Left out to the Volume Wheel Point 1 and Right out to Wheel Pin 2. No GB Motherboard? simple wire USB Audio to Pot3 and Pot4 Pads and done.
