Still 2 months untill I get my parts from Kite for my retropieboy.
So two quick questions.
1: do I need to use soldering flux?
2: should I use tinn that contains lead or not?
Or is there anyspesiffic tinn to use?
I failed at the search on the forum :/
Thanks for the help

Re: Soldering Questions
I ALWAYS go with 60/40 lead tin blend, flux core (if you get flux core, you neither need to flux nor clean up). Make sure it isn’t acid core, that’s for plumbing. The zero lead solder SUCKS IMO. Definitely go with 60/40.Sasherz wrote: ↑Mon Apr 09, 2018 3:45 pmStill 2 months untill I get my parts from Kite for my retropieboy.

Re: Soldering Questions
Like this stuff. The technical term is “rosin core”. This is what you want to look for. The thinner gauge, the better.
