SD cart reader
@wermy, you weren't kidding about SD cards being temperamental in this thing. I have everything wired up, connectivity all fine, no shorts, but it just won't work. SD card fine in the Pi, not in the cart. I think I might just go without the SD in the cart. Anyone else having any luck?

Re: SD cart reader
Yeah. :/
Have you made the wires as short as possible? Added shielding? Tried different cards if you have any? Definitely kee an eye out for @prerunnerseth's board he is working on that has added filtering on it. From what he has said it makes it much much easier to get going.

Re: SD cart reader
i had an issue with mine, too
turns out some of the solder on one of the pads connected to the little bar connecting the 2 ground pads on the adapter
so tomorrow im starting that over again with a new adapter... cuz i broke the other one while trying to make it work...
but thats also how i found out what was wrong
also getting that little bastard of a capacitor on without desoldering the wires is a pain, i need to get one of them helping hand things...

Re: SD cart reader
Gaaah. Figured it out. I was following your photos @wermy rather than the text, and some of the test pins (pp8) have moved on the newer Pi zeros, so my SD reader is connected to two GNDs... Mental note: read the words next time.

Aaahh, thanks for the heads-up! I'll add a note to the video and written guide.Andrewt704 wrote:Gaaah. Figured it out.
