Screen issue with Kedei 3,5 inch

Post by Rowi » Mon Jan 28, 2019 9:56 am

Hi bought a Kedei 3,5 inch from german shop. Screen looked ok but did not play "faster" games to check it....Which seems to be a stupid think afterwards.

After destroying the touch functionality I tried sonic 1 on genesis and the screen has like a blurring effect behind objects if the screen moves faster. Also there are some kind of "aslant" lines which come (not visible as lines but the screen seems to be refreshed not a the same time).
Is there anything I can do?
I already tried to config_hdmi_boost=7 and more but did not bring any better experience :(

Thanks!

Go back to the german shop and get a replacement screen....

There isn’t a single screen/lcd that’s used in these build that won’t have some issue or another
(People will find fault in anything)

Ive used the kedei screen on several builds...
And provided you apply the correct setting in the config...
The screen is a very decent screen for these builds...
Especially compared to the other options available

Make sure you have enough power going to the screen
Make sure you have the correct config setting
Make sure your not expecting ultra great things from a $20 lcd

I think i messed maybe 3 Kedei screens when I was just starting to learn about building GBZ. hahah.. What's great about the kedei screen though is the higher resolution of the LCD which looks really great for playing games.
