I have scoured the forums to find out the best way to cut out the ribs to fit the megabat...
Does anyone have a tried and true method..

Honestly for my current case mods a light hand and this dremel bit has been awesome. It will eat up the plastic quickly though so be careful.

I use some sharp flush cutters, they can get in to the plastic nicely and also has small tip so not bulky. Something like these :
