Re: gaboze pacio original better screen?
You can't use a gaboze v2 screen on the original v1. Totally different connections. 18 pin ribbon on the v1 versus the 52 pin cable on the v2.
They also use totally different video drivers. And are a different physical size (2.4" vs 2.6").
You may be able to make it work. But you'd need to do a lot of work, and it's probably not worth it in my opinion. The 2.6" screen doesn't look that much different, it just fills the viewing window a bit better. (I've build both types of gabozes, and he's the 2.6 is better, but not good enough to try and mod a v1 gaboze to make the v2 screen to work - Alos note the screen used in the v2 isn't easy to find anymore. I think they went out of production a while back).

There is a board they actually made to upgrade the round ones to the 2.6". But fair warning, the 2.6" screen is becoming harder and harder to find.

I didn't realize there was a companion board. Cool.Spyder wrote: ↑Mon May 04, 2020 1:42 pmThere is a board they actually made to upgrade the round ones to the 2.6". But fair warning, the 2.6" screen is becoming harder and harder to find.
