That's really cool! What material did you use for the top bracket?Akina86 wrote:Great minds think alike! i did this too and it works great! i also messed around with control boards using the conductive tape method you used for the additional buttons, but eventually bought a kitch board.IMG_1675.JPG

Yes - I would definitely be interested! I'm in Brighton, UK.benoliver999 wrote:Would anyone be interested if I got a small run of these printed for EU shipping? I reckon I could get them done for £5 a piece, shipped.

i used PLA, it seems to be holding nicely. i would imagine it might not be the best material if you are going to open and close it a lot, but for occasional inspection or battery replacement, i think it will be just fine.benoliver999 wrote:That's really cool! This might seem like a strange question. Does anyone have any idea of the approximate time it would take to print this in PLA or resin? I've found a local place (Australia) that charges in 15min increments. Wouldn't mind knowing how much i could potentially be up for.

PLA isn't as strong, but it should work. The screw holes will likely just strip easier.BadBert wrote:Nice!

It takes me something like 18 minutes to print one on my Lulzbot Mini. No idea about resin... But I assume that means using SLA printing? I wouldn't recommend that for this bracket.Janicka wrote:This might seem like a strange question. Does anyone have any idea of the approximate time it would take to print this in PLA or resin? If this does happen, one can put a small drop of CA (super glue) and make it tight again. I do this all time when I wear out plastic screw posts.wermy wrote:PLA isn't as strong, but it should work. The screw holes will likely just strip easier.BadBert wrote:Nice!
