help for solder XIANJIE screen?
help for solder XIANJIE screen?
hello guys!
I've got a XIANJIE's screen but don't know how to solder it, this should be run on 5V, but I've seen other people who has one doesn't (sorry for the english); I've try a lot a things, (including remove the regulator like in wermy's tuto, but I 'm afraid to damage the pins , I can no longer sold anything directly) but don't get it... (dont look at thoses crappy solders, I'll do it again) May I use the 12V pin? the VCC? the multiple ground? the video one is one the "TV" on the pi no? thanking you in advance!

Re: help for solder XIANJIE screen?
Hi there.
First make sure you leave the Steam Bath/Sauna before you damage your electronics
Then, try to run it on 5v before you tinker with it. It seems to be the same board as in the wiki.

I'm going to hotwire 5v power to the SW pin of the step-down which I think will work.
Re: help for solder XIANJIE screen?
thanks you for your response, but I think I've damage the pin (there is a definitive link between them) I feel like a real noob
I've bought one screen from emarket666 and an other from GearBest (hope building two anyway), waiting now, and next time I'll take the time to ask before do anything stupid again
But i would like to know how I should have solder this one?

Re: help for solder XIANJIE screen?
you need to make your board look like this one by bridging the 2 pins on the 5v regulator and removing the coil and bridging and removing diode d101 and bridgeing that too then should work fine off 5v. good luck

Ah ok! Thanks a lot! I'll test that! And have you got an idea for the broken yellow wire pin? (The vidéo one) one another place for solder? And where does they go on the Pi zero (1.3)?
Sorry for all the questions
Sorry for all the questions

Re: help for solder XIANJIE screen?
Your video pin looks ok from your pic just need to resolder it the joint is bad. Take off the red one and solder to place in my picture redo joints on the ground also. If your using common ground for your pi and screen solder yellow wire to the square pin on the tv connector on your pi. good luck

In order to repair the pin, just clean your soldering iron so that there is no solder left on it, then push it so that it suck the solder left on the card, and try a few time, you should be able to remove the bridge. Then simply solder a wire on the correct pin
