This optimization stuff is great. I watched that custom systems boot video and got worried I will be waiting 30 seconds for boot.

update 27/10/2017
HERE WE GOOO !
You said mobile handheld gaming device huh ?
I had few weeks ago some sellers over ali who had the charging cable in orange, the microfiber cleaning cloth in orange, a car charge plug in white/orange...
By the time i have decided to spend more money, those were gone and no more they are available for now. So i gathered what i had at home to fill the carrying case.
I need also to find an iphone type wall plug to plug the USB/jack charging cable in it so that i can have a very flat charging outlet in the case and of course, should be orange
I also need to find a 32Gb usb key (orange of course ) this usb key contains the compressed backup image
Note : i love those free stickers from The Pi Hut but i don’t know where to stick it

Which value did you put ?Damazeltov wrote: ↑Thu Oct 26, 2017 2:49 pmI didn‘t implement all the sd/IO write stuff. Just overclock the sd card.
did you retrieve the real overclocking value because the Pis is downgrading to the closest value it can handle...
Type this command to know at which speed is running the SD
Code: Select all
sudo grep clock /sys/kernel/debug/mmc0/ios

Because the overclock value should be a valid integer divider of the main frequency...Code: Select all
sudo grep clock /sys/kernel/debug/mmc0/ios
gpu_freq=540
core_freq=540
v3d_freq=540
sdram_freq=600
sdram_schmoo=0x02000020
over_voltage_sdram_p=6
over_voltage_sdram_i=4
over_voltage_sdram_c=4
over_voltage=6
avoid_pwm_pll=1
force_turbo=1
gpu_mem=512
temp_limit=85
pi@retropie:~ $ sudo grep clock /sys/kernel/debug/mmc0/ios
clock: 50000000 Hz
actual clock: 50000000 Hz
pi@retropie:~ $ lscpu

Re: YaYa's first GBZ - Kite's SAIO - Big Battery - NO Glue - Custom 3D parts - DC Jack - minimum case mod
update 29/10/2017
Automatic shutdown feature addition on low battery
So, i think this was a missing feature that's why i have worked a bit to add this to Kite's image.
In the following video you will see the overlay for low level warning (occurring at 3.3V but for testing purposes, i have cheated this value)
Then at 3.2V, a countdown will play overlapping everything and if you do not power off the device, it will do it for you...
As i'm cheating for testing, the change between low level and critical level is very short but in reality, depending on you configuration, it will last from 10 to 20 minutes so i advise you to properly save state, shutdown

you can get the code in my github
https://github.com/YaYaLanD/Super-AIO
To activate this feature, you edit the config-saio.txt from the boot partition and add the value

Nice one, YaYa – that's pretty cool!
I'll take a closer look once I find the time to work on my GBZ again.
