Re: Charger and Tactile Buttons
A diode of any kind really can be used but if possible get fast recovery diodes like this :

Don't contact me about obtaining my board files (as you will not get them). If my Boards or PCB Kits are sold out, they will be restocked as soon as I can get them and there is demand for them. You can join the mailing list on my Website to be notified when they are available.

We will not support any cloned work so don't come to us with technical issues to resolve, go talk to the cloner for help.

Re: Charger and Tactile Buttons
Hi, thanks for giving an example! This is one that's available from a local retailer (for me) - would this work? http://leeselectronic.com/en/product/71388.htmlHelder wrote: ↑Fri Jul 07, 2017 3:58 pmA diode of any kind really can be used but if possible get fast recovery diodes like this :

Re: Charger and Tactile Buttons
Yes that works and be sure the White Stripe is facing the controller PCB pads, so all Stripes of the 2 diodes solder to the Power Input pad on the controller PCB.fractaltheory wrote: ↑Fri Jul 07, 2017 6:32 pmHi, thanks for giving an example! MintyPi Build Question
So I managed to get a MintyPi preorder in and mine is arriving tomorrow, I was wondering when the setup guide would come out? I'm not very good at electronics so I'll probably need it.

Re: Charger and Tactile Buttons
Mind posting a few pics of this? I think a lot of people would like to know how to do thisHelder wrote: ↑Wed Jul 05, 2017 3:52 pmsolder a diode from the IN+ on the lipo charger to the Power input on the controller pcb and do the same with the wire coming from the battery to the Power Input. This prevents the battery from getting 5V and the battery draining itself by powering the lipo charger.
