Dead Raspberry Pi Help

Yeah any signs of a short on it at all? Seems odd. Could be life in it yet!!

I'm not sure how to spot a short on the R pi.

Did you wire up the sound card to the USB pads? I'm asking because maybe you shorted something there... Those pads are in an extremely tight spot and it's super easy to short a connection.

I did, that could be what caused it .

Give it a shot. I was having issues with my Pi and it was ever so slightly shorted. I almost needed a magnifying glass to see it. Remove the usb wires all together and try to boot. Make sure you clean the solder from the pads.
